Friendsview is a privately owned, not-for-profit Type A Life Plan Community in the state of Oregon. And from our very first day to today, we are committed to being a community that values dignity, compassion, and excellence.
Company History
It all started for us in the 1950’s when a group of Friends expressed the desire to provide person-centered, affordable care to seniors within the community. Charles Beals, as the first Executive Director, led the way, ensuring that our doors opened in 1961. We were the only “high-rise” building with an elevator at the time!
In our 60+ years of operation, we’ve remained true to our initial mission with local leadership that have kept us financially stable as we grow our community. We continue to strive to honor our deep roots with intergenerational connections with George Fox University students, educational programming, arts and cultural workshops, plus so much more.
