About Renown Emergency Department:
As the only Level II Trauma Center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, the Renown Regional emergency department and trauma ICU teams are fully equipped to deliver leading-edge emergency medical services. With a strong commitment to trauma care, we opened a new trauma ICU in Renown Regional Medical Center in 2023, expanding our capacity to 34 private patient rooms.
About Position:
This role involves the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to health issues. The individual in this position is responsible for providing the best possible care to patients and residents by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of adolescents, adults, and elderly residents and their families. They must understand the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population they serve and meet the standards of quality set by the unit/department.
The role requires a strong knowledge of science and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth. Whenever possible, the nurse considers the family or other significant individuals in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes. The nurse also coordinates care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
This position demands continuous mental effort to ensure safe patient care and also requires mental effort when interacting with internal and external contacts, making judgments, and decisions.
